Blogging, A History

‘…never have so many people written so much to be read by so few.’ ~Katie Hafner, 2004

Blogging, as described by this auspicious site dedicated to blogging, is a web-based means maintaining an ‘ongoing chronicle of information’ (WordPress.org, nd.) that takes the form of journal-like entries maintained by an individual (Wikipedia.org, 2011) that can range from focused topics to wider scopes and even serve as personal opinion forums. The content of a blog is the be all and end all of its existence, for without it the blog would have no substance and no sense of being, and it is because of this content that the blog has come about in the first place, regardless of what it is (WordPress.org, 2011).

For the course of Issue in Publications and Design, I am required, for the final assignment, to keep a weekly blog on various issues of media, publication and design that I encounter, as well as the Monday discussions in class. This blog (CyberizedScroll) will serve as my platform for blogging communication.
